Senior Finance Manager, Fareham

£70k - £80k

We’re partnering with a professional services-based business undergoing vigorous growth with the recruitment of a qualified Senior Finance Manager to play a key role in their expansion plans.

This role would suit a highly motivated manager who offers experience within Private Equity, Real Estate or Corporate Fund experience.

The role will include:

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of clients
  • Reviewing and signing off on capital activity and statements
  • Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports by the team
  • Ensure financial statements prepared are in line with IFRS/UK GAAP or other appropriate standards
  • Liaise with auditors in respect of the financial audit of client entities as required
  • Attend client meetings in respect of accounting matters as required
  • Liaise with new clients, business introducers and intermediaries
  • Assist with the client acceptance process for new clients
  • Leads and drives business change
  • Involvement with Group projects as either a member of a committee or as team leader
  • Development of training
  • Coach team in relation to client activities and time management, financial management and prioritisation skills
  • Ensure all clients invoiced correct frequency and correct amount
  • Monitor and develop strategies to improve recoverability and profitability

About you:

We’re looking for a fully qualified (ACA / ACCA) Accountant who has experience of coaching and leading a team and a sound academic background.

Ideally candidates will offer 10 years’ experience working within real estate or fund accounting alongside comprehensive and detailed understanding and knowledge of the local finance industry legislation and regulatory requirements. An excellent understanding of client financial reporting is key as is performance management of a team.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and a good understanding of other appropriate accounting standards is also key.
