Our client, a market leader in satellite communications, is looking for a Technical Customer Support Specialist. As part of the team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless customer experiences. In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have a passion for technology and a curiosity to learn. You will be given full product training and the role will develop over time with a structured growth plan.

The Role

As a Customer Support Specialist, you’ll be part of a small team who are the first point of contact for their diverse international customer base. Your mission is to provide exceptional support, solve challenges and create positive interactions. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Engage with Customers: From tech-savvy enthusiasts to large corporations, you’ll interact with a wide range of customers. Your friendly demeanor and clear communication will be key.
  • Rapid Response: When customers reach out via tickets, emails, or phone calls, you’ll be there to assist promptly. Your ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot will shine.
  • Learn and Adapt: No two issues are the same. You’ll learn about their satellite equipment and services, adapting to new scenarios as they arise. Curiosity is your superpower.
  • Collaborate: Sometimes, queries will go beyond your immediate expertise. Fear not! You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring customers get the right answers.
  • Language Matters: Their global reach means communicating with people whose first language isn’t English. Your excellent written and oral communication skills will bridge any gaps.
  • Grow: Initially, you’ll handle straightforward issues. But with training and experience, you’ll become a satellite technology guru, providing comprehensive support.
  • Product Insights: As a satellite hardware enthusiast, you’ll engage with their in house development team. Together, you’ll explore the limits and possibilities of the technology.
  • Stock Control: You’ll contribute to efficient stock management, ensuring they are ready for future orders.

The Ideal Candidate for the Customer Support Specialist role

You will need to be an amazing communicator who has a genuine passion for technology and problem solving. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential, they will teach you about the technology but you will need to organise your learning and be pro-active in your approach to it. You will need to have a calm and patient manner when dealing with customers and be able to adapt your approach when required. Previous experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage.
