Excellent opportunity for a Systems Test Engineer to join a well-established client's team in Fareham, Hampshire. The successful test engineer must be confident in their own ability and will be expected to test products including application software, embedded systems and hardware.

You will be joining a team of 4 and will be expected to hit the ground running, although support and training will of course be available when required. Our client pride themselves on being a good place to work and offer a comprehensive benefits package as well as competitive salaries.

The successful candidate must be British and eligible for security clearance. The role is typically office based with some flexibility to work from home when required.

Skills required:

  • At least 2 years' experience of testing one of the following: hardware, systems, embedded software
  • Ability to write clear and concise test procedures and user documentation
  • Must be competent in writing documentation including test procedures and reports
  • MS Office - Excel, Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of issue tracking systems is an advantage, but not essential
  • Programming knowledge is beneficial - Python, C, C++ etc.

Role requirements:

  • Work in a multi-disciplined design team testing new and updated products
  • Write test procedures for products
  • Attend training to develop skills and knowledge
  • Update user guides and review technical documentation
  • Feedback test results and ideas for improvements
