Voids Surveyor Permanent Opportunity via BRC Jobs:                Voids Surveyor  Location:        South Hampshire Sector:            Property and Housing Contract:        Permanent Salary:            £33,000 - £37,000  We are looking for a Void Surveyor to carry out inspections to a local authority’s housing stock. You will be responsible for liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance & repairs being carried out  Main Responsibilities: 
  1. Carry out survey visits to properties to ensure repairs are highlighted and competed in accordance with council’s timescales, quality and authorised budgets
  2. Inspect properties and garages to specify remedial, modernisation and improvement works
  3. Initiate work orders with contractors and oversee from start to finish, ensuring works are carried out within statutory requirements
  4. Ensure repairs are completed to an excellent standard and on time using term maintenance contractors
  5. Meet a range of customers and contractors, providing them with technical advice & guidance, providing a high-quality customer service and managing any complaints raised
  6. Carry out pre voids surveys to occupied properties
  7. Inspect and carry out surveying for mould, damp and structural issues, providing advice and solutions, writing detailed reports of findings
  8. Ensure repairs undertaken via contract arrangements are delivered appropriately
  9. Attend meetings to discuss priority requests and the scheduling of works
  10. Ensure all admin is completed, up to date and logged electronically
  Job Requirements
  • Driver with access to a vehicle
  • Qualification/education in construction & the built environment HNC/HND
  • Previous experience in a similar role
