Fabricator/Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator/Fitter to join our Aerospace client in Titchfield, Fareham

This role places a emphasis on fabrication and fitting of components in preparation for TIG welding, rather than pure welding.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Pay (PAYE):

  • First 12 weeks: 16.84 per hour, increasing to 17.35 + 33 days paid annual leave
  • Including holiday pay: 19.29 per hour, rising to 19.87
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x standard rate, with double pay on Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing components for TIG welding, ensuring precise sizing and fit
  • Sizing components both pre- and post-welding to maintain accuracy
  • Cleaning and polishing components to required specifications
  • Pressure testing to ensure the integrity of fabricated components
  • Operating roller lathes to form components as required

  • Stainless Steel
  • Inconel
  • Nimonic
  • Titanium
  • Aluminium

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong fabrication and fitting background
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working with high-specification materials
  • Proficiency in using roller lathes and other fabrication equipment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK freely, adhering to ITAR restrictions.
