House Manager/Property Manager Job

Location: Oxfordshire

Part-time (4 days a week)

Salary - Circa - £50,000 GPA (Self-employed also will be considered)

Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced and dedicated House Manager/Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a stunning 7-bedroom manor house for a lovely principal who enjoys art collecting and frequently travels. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the household and ensuring everything runs smoothly, especially during the principal's absences.

Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day management of the manor house, ensuring it is well-maintained, secure, and welcoming at all times.- Work closely with the existing staff, including housekeepers, part-time cleaners, and gardeners, to coordinate tasks and schedules.- Act as the primary point of contact for contractors and service providers for ongoing maintenance and repairs, particularly in relation to older properties.- Manage and oversee household budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs.- Maintain the principal's art gallery, ensuring proper care, display, and security of the collection.- Implement and maintain cleaning, maintenance, and organization standards within the household.- Prepare the house for the principal's return after travel and ensure all systems are functioning properly.- Foster a trustworthy and reliable environment, especially during periods when the household is empty.

Requirements:- Proven experience in a managerial role within a private household or similar environment.- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the maintenance of older properties.- Knowledge and appreciation of art would be ideal, with an understanding of how to care for and manage art collections.- Excellent organizational and communication skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.- Trustworthiness, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Monday - Thursday - 9am - 5.30pm
