This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious college leaver to begin their career in accounting as an Apprentice Accountant within a professional services firm in Surrey. The successful candidate will receive excellent support to study AAT, followed by ACCA, whilst gaining a broad range of practical experience in accounting and finance.

Description
- Assisting with bookkeeping and the preparation of accounts
- Handling a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial affairs are effectively managed
- Assisting with tax returns and VAT returns
- Helping with payroll for a variety of clients
- Communicating with clients to resolve queries
- Working effectively within the professional services team
- Managing administrative duties as required
- Studying towards the AAT and ACCA qualifications
Profile
A successful Apprentice Accountant should have:
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in professional services, specifically accounting
- A-levels or equivalent education with a good understanding of Mathematics
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills
