Your new companyYou will be joining a well established group based close to Farnborough, Hampshire in one of the key sites in the group finance team. Your new roleReporting into the number 1 in finance, you will be taking on a contract role (newly created) to help develop the group function and ensure the structure, processes, procedures and team layout are geared up for growth. This is a key role with a mix of exciting projects as well as "business as usual" activities. You will be leading a small team of qualified accountants in group who have built a positive culture - they are responsible for group-month end accounts and year-end. You will lead all areas including consolidated management accounts, group statutory accounts and audit, corporate tax for all UK and overseas entities, as well as treasury activities and group cashflow. In the monthly accounts, you'll also ensure the reporting is value add and insightful for the exec team. As the most technically experienced team, you will provide accounting guidance to the wider entities, advising on accounting policies. What you'll need to succeedIn addition to your accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/equivalent), you should be a proven operator and technically strong (IFRS) in a group finance manager or controller role. Experience in an International environment is essential but the business is very flexible about the industry you've worked in provided you have the confidence to build the function and add value with the multiple projects.
