Office Angels have teamed up with a forward thinking client who are in the education industry, are looking to recruit a Management Accountant. You will join an established team of individuals who are hardworking, have excellent communication skills as well as enjoying developing within this company and sector.

The day to day duties in your new job will be….

The day to day leadership and management of the Finance Department to ensure an effective and efficient support team.

Preparation of financial reports and returns and the monthly management accounts for review by the Director of Finance and for subsequent consideration by the Senior Management Team and Governors.

Ensuring compliance with internal controls and the Financial Regulations and at the same time develops efficient internal systems and processes which minimises waste and duplication and enhance customer service.

Providing regular, timely online real time monitoring reports to all budget holders and assisting them in the interpretation of the information when needed.

Manage the budgeting process and implementing budgetary controls.

Responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts.

Ensure that all external financial statements are prepared to the highest standards of accuracy, clarity and compliance, working closely with, and acting as the primary point of

contact for, the financial auditors, internal auditors and any other financial consultants.

Produce the necessary returns to relevant governmental and funding bodies.

Produce management information to the Senior Management Team as required.

Day to day treasury management in line with policies and procedures.

Managing all functions within the Finance department, including sales ledger and credit control, purchase ledger and supplier payments, banking and cash, with a responsibility for payroll checks (the payroll function being administered in HR).

To play a key role in developing, implementing, and reviewing all aspects of the Colleges financial, accounting, departmental budgets, management and reporting.

Responsible for taxation issues, including VAT - under a partial exemption regime and, statutory payroll returns.

To undertake duties appropriate and required by an Operational Manager.

To undertake any other such duties as delegated by the Director of Finance from time to time.
