This role brings with it the autonomy to be facilitating a business partnering position with the budget holders within the UK but also to be involved in process improvement.

Management Accountant - About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Financial Controller with reporting responsibilities for the UK entities. You will be providing flash reporting by working day 4 and then conclude to the full set of management accounts in readiness for Board level meetings. You will be the interface between the management accounts and the budget holders, presenting on variance analysis.

This role offers the opportunity of working in a medium sized business with an international footprint and backing. In addition to the month-end reporting requirements there will also be an opportunity to become involved in process and system improvement to ensure that the system is being utilised to its full potential.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Month-end close, initially flash reporting to the Group, followed by the full set of management accounts for the UK entities
  • Running the budget process for the UK business and reporting throughout the year on variances to the budget holders directly
  • Posting journals and accruals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations

The successful Management Accountant will have/be:

  • A formal accounting qualification - ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
  • Newly qualified or post qualification experience considered
  • Aptitude to pick up new software platforms
