Accounts Assistant, Camberley, £24-27k doe + Study

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client’s finance team. This role includes both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable administration across multiple UK entities, plus daily bank reconciliations, credit control, and stock control. The successful candidate will work closely with the Customer Support team to resolve queries and will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects.

Day-to-day:

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a friendly and supportive team environment.

Accounts Receivable tasks like processing sales invoices, reconciling customer receipts, and generating credit notes for refunds.

Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Conduct credit control activities to ensure timely payments.

Work with the Customer Support team to resolve customer queries on account balances, including checking for payments and sending invoice copies or statements.

Accounts Payable duties like processing purchase invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and delivery notes, allocating payments, and reconciling supplier statements.

Assist in updating stock records in Sage and participate in stock control activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and a flexible, 'can do' attitude.

Ideally some experience with Sage accounting and with Excel spreadsheets.

Analytically minded, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

This role could suit someone with a year’s experience in a finance department or maybe a recent graduate with a finance related degree.

The details:

This is a permanent, full-time office based role.
