Our client based in Farnborough is looking for an Electronics Assembler / Proto-Type Wirer to join their team on a contract basis. Our client produce work alongside their customers in engineering-led industries which include, custom- metalwork engineering and electro-mechanical integration.

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble and test electronics assets, including electro-mechanical, surface mount and through-hole components
  • Fault-finding at the top level and down to component level. Rework of PCB assemblies when required.
  • Electronics testing, calibration, failure analysis and report writing.
  • Maintain accurate reports of rework and testing activities.
  • Execute a range of engineering tests, from set-up to running and recording data.

Skills

  • Experience building electronic devices.
  • Familiar with the use of electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc
  • Through-hole and surface mount soldering experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • A keen interest in electronics.
  • Flexible, multitasking-capable mindset.
  • Programming proficiency, especially in Python, is a strong advantage.
