About Our Client Our client is a leading UK accountancy and advisory firm seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing Farnborough audit department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to manage a client portfolio within an established and friendly team, receiving full support and excellent career development opportunities. Role Overview In this role, you will support the audit partners, help clients achieve their aspirations, and contribute to the development of the audit team. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing an audit-focused portfolio of clients. - Overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and IFRS. - Attending and contributing to client meetings. - Completing audits with minimal supervision and within deadlines. - Developing and managing upcoming audit talent. - Financial management of your portfolio, including WIP, billing, and debt management. - Involvement in business development, maintaining key contacts and fostering new relationships. - Maintaining a strong level of technical knowledge and independently researching issues to develop solutions.

The Person - ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. - A minimum of four years' experience in an accountancy practice. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members. - Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. - Strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards. - Experience leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts. - Familiarity with CaseWare or Mercia methodologies is desirable. - Strong organisational skills to effectively prioritise high volumes of work. - The ability to anticipate and resolve issues early to keep assignments on budget. - A proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities within the existing client base.
