Client Manager – up to £60,500 per annumPension, flexible benefits package (some hybrid working, flexible working hours, flexible public holidays, duvet days, volunteer days, MELP and more!)Working for Stewart & Co, Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors, based CamberleySalary & Benefits: Salary range is up to £60,500 per annum (flexible - dependent upon experience); 29 days annual leave including bank holidays, pension and flexible benefits. Core hours 9am to 5.15pm, 1 hour for lunch daily.The Employer:We are a long established, forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants, acting for 800+ clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to large corporations is expanding and now looking to appoint a fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or QBE) accountant to the position of Client Manager.The Role:
  • Maintain a portfolio of client accounts across a variety of industries
  • Responsible for start to end process of requesting client records, reviewing junior team members work, issuing draft accounts, finalisation and billing process
  • Preparation of complex accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Assistance with delivery of management accounts
  • Ensuring a commercial view with respect to fees charged versus actual time spent
  • Liaise with other departments, bookkeeping, payroll and personal tax to provide a full range of services
  • Liaise with HMRC
  • Mentoring of junior team members
  • Building relationships with client and reviewing on a regular basis, ensuring they are getting the support they need and point of contact for client queries
  • Report directly to the Partners
  • Assist and implement company procedures and policies
Key applicant requirements:
  • Post qualified practice experience, ACA or ACCA or qualified by experience
  • Good general practice and commerciality understanding
  • Experience gained within chartered accounting practice environment
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting standards and tax matters
  • Comfortable client facing
  • Happy to assist, manage and mentor trainees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to commute to and work from an office base in Camberley in Surrey, with some home working
  • Driving license
