Conveyancing Assistant

An award-winning Residential Property team is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their dynamic group. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their legal career and who takes pride in providing long-term support to clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Review local searches and compare against previous records.
  • Manage Help to Buy loan redemptions and coordinate with lenders.
  • Communicate with clients, sales offices, and developer solicitors, escalating complex inquiries to Fee Earners.
  • Verify mortgage offers and liaise with clients and lenders to address queries.
  • Follow up with clients for deposits and paperwork, preparing files for exchange.
  • Handle post-completion matters, including registrations.
  • Conduct search applications and close abortive files.
  • Generate quotes and initiate files during peak periods as needed.
  • Draft and dispatch documents to buyers’ solicitors for sales.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
