Join our team as a Probate, Wills, and Inheritance Legal Secretary, where you will provide essential support to our legal team, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional client service in a compassionate and professional environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Administrative Support: Assist solicitors by managing correspondence, preparing legal documents, and maintaining meticulous client files.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the first point of contact for clients, manage inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain a professional and compassionate communication.
  • Document Management: Draft, proofread, and format various legal documents related to probate, wills, and inheritance cases ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Case Management: Keep case files organised and up to date, ensuring all documentation is accurately filed and accessible.
  • Diary Management: Efficiently organise and manage diaries, schedule meetings, and ensure all deadlines are met without compromise.
  • Research: Conduct thorough legal research as needed to support case preparation and enhance outcomes.
  • Billing: Aid in the preparation and management of invoices and billing records, ensuring timely and accurate billing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally within probate, wills, and inheritance law.
  • Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication, with a professional and empathetic approach to client interactions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with legal case management software.
  • Education: A legal secretarial qualification or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
