Logistics/Order Manager
Location: Camberley
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000
My client based in Camberley is looking for a Logistics/Order Manager to come on board and join their team. You will set up the necessary procedures to maintain a good quality of order processing ensuring a fast turnaround time of the orders and shipments. You will also define minimum cost involved for the delivery of goods from supplier to customer and make sure compensation funds and rebates are being paid by our suppliers to the group.
Responsibilities:
Establish a long-term good relationship with Suppliers, customers and Forwarders.
Planning shipment instructions to follow for complicated orders and/or specific regions.
Make sure escalations are done on time to suppliers, customers and forwarders.
Negotiate the different aspects with forwarders for shipments of the group.
Define & upkeep the necessary tools to use for our internal processes which are impacted by our suppliers.
Checking orders/invoices from our customers, and their related margins, incoterms and payment terms.
Approving credit notes issued for customers.
Following up, escalating to forwarders specific shipments that have problems and delays in arrival.
Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, pre-sales, sales to solve the CRO problems.
Controlling Daily Sellout reports sent to suppliers and assisting in solving related outcome queries.
Following up on Compensation / rebates with Suppliers.
Align reporting models for entities requested by suppliers.
Finalize negotiations with Forwarders for the warehousing, shipping prices, routing, transit time to minimize cost.
Approving documents to be sent to suppliers for any damaged or missing claims to guarantee reception of payment.
Handling claims with our insurance department and making sure to receive payments accordingly.
Checking and approving inventories, necessary provisions to be taken and Margin Contribution reports.
Assisting in solving the problems faced by Sales Admin/logistics and Order Processing supervisors teams.
Contacting inspection offices for shipment and documentation problems.
Assisting in the clearance of shipments that have problems in the UK and in other European or African regions.
Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of ERP and Excel (Office programs)
Experience in logistics and customs regulations.
Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.
