Key Responsibilities of the Assembler Operator
To assemble, test and inspect products in line with production requirements.
Duties of the Assembly Operator may include:
- Assembly/manufacture of components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies of production and/or development products
- Inspection and testing of products including operation of automatic test equipment
- Responsibility for self-inspection thereby requiring high levels of accuracy and quality of work
- You will be trained in some of the following operations: welding, brazing, coil winding, encapsulation, soldering and machine operation
Qualifications/Experience of the Assembly Operator
- No formal qualifications are necessary but applicants must possess basic numerical and literacy skills.
- Must meet stringent Visual Acuity standards including colour blindness and depth perception.
- Must have previous experience within a similar assembly environment and have proven mechanical or electrical skills.
- Staff are responsible for self-inspection so a high level of accuracy and quality of work is essential.
- This Assembly Operator role requires the ability to work to processes and procedures and meet the required performance targets.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
