Our client based in Hook is looking to recruit an Assembly Technician to join their expanding facility. Our client has been at the forefront of designing computer-controlled systems to evaluate mechanical properties and is highly regarded within the geotechnical engineering design sector. Our client exports to over 70 countries worldwide and take pride in their company mission and vision statements which underpins their core staff values.

As the Assembly Technician your key focus will be part of the Production Team, assembling mechanical and electrical elements of the products, to the highest quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Electro-Mechanical assembly - involving sub-assemblies - with mechanical parts and wiring prior to then carrying out required testing procedures, to the highest quality standards
  • Ability to read drawings and interpret the requirement for the build
  • Assemble then leak and pressure test various pressure vessels to required standards prior to recording results.
  • Ensure all build procedures are followed and advise of any discrepancies
  • Notify the Production Engineer of any non-conformances
  • Be fully aware of Health and Safety requirements and always ensure safe working within team(s)
  • Medically fit and capable of lifting loads
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
  • Having worked in a lean manufacturing environment, champion the 5S approach
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience having worked in an electromechanical assembly environment
  • Basic computer literacy
