Role: Assembly & Soldering Technician

Job Type: Temporary (6 months)
Pay Rate: £13.81 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Operative to join our team and play a vital role in the assembly of our high-quality products.
As an Assembly Operative you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for assembling and manufacturing our electromechanical products. Your work will contribute to the production of cutting-edge devices that meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
The Key Responsibilities of theAssembly & Soldering Technician are:
- Perform precise assembly and soldering tasks, working down to the component level.
- Work collaboratively within the production team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Conduct quality checks and tests on assembled products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Support problem-solving activities for new products and assist in their transition into production.
- Help train other operators, ensuring they understand technical procedures and best practices.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure its accurate and legible.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying problem-solving techniques like PDCA, 5 Whys, and cause and effect analysis.
- Liaise with the Engineering department to drive quality improvements and technical innovation.
The successfulAssembly & Soldering Technician will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience in assembly and soldering, especially down to component level, within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A team player who is reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently to meet production goals.
- Experience in welding, soldering, brazing, or general assembly is a strong plus.
- Engineering qualification preferred but not required if relevant experience is demonstrated.
