Payroll Administrator, Farnborough, £30,000 - £35,000

We’re looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our client’s finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payment to all staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Creating and maintaining employees’ payroll records.
  • Calculating wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
  • Entering payroll information into the system for processing.
  • Issuing employees’ checks and earnings summaries.
  • Completing payroll reports for finance management.
  • Calculating PAYE and NI contributions.
  • Performing the distribution of wages through issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • A good understanding of the UK payroll legislation and procedures.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
