We are seeking a Buyer to join the purchasing team of this successful international business, based at its Oxfordshire based head office. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of business and operational objectives, while adhering to purchasing strategy.

Salary negotiable depending on experience. Excellent benefits including hybrid working (min 2 days on site), lunchtime finish on a Friday, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, private medical and bonus scheme.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Operate as part of a team of Buyers, managing purchasing activities including products, materials, services, and capital equipment.
  • Achieve key performance indicators as defined by management.
  • Undertake duties to maintain/improve efficiency, quality, and service.
  • Interact with various departments and divisions to support manufacturing and development projects.
  • Source components, materials, and services required for manufacturing and site maintenance.
  • Participate in supplier development and relationship management.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience gained in a similar Buyer role.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Team player with a confident, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
