Accounts Assistant - About The Role

In this role, you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working alongside a team of 3. You will be supporting with the daily running of the accounting function as well as supporting other departments. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting with the management of the Purchase Ledger function- scanning and processing invoices on a daily basis.
  • Reconciling of statements to PL.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and checking invoices are reconciled.
  • Managing the accounts inbox and directing queries to the relevant personnel.
  • Assist in increasing the productivity and profitability of the accounts department.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Setting up new suppliers on the accounting system.

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • AAT studiers or QBE candidates will be considered
  • Good IT skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
