We are currently working on behalf of one of the souths Leading Civil Engineering Contractors.
Due to another record year, they are looking to add more stength to their commercial team with the addition of a Commercial Manager / Senior Estimator.
Duties:
You will be working with the Commercial Director and Estimating Team in ensuring that the competitive costing of services providedmeet the clients required scope of works.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for researching and assessing contract information in order to prepare accurate tender responses
- To prepare accurate pricing requests to suppliers and sub-contractors
- To conduct accurate measurement, take offs as required in line with standard method of measurement techniques and create bill of quantities to reflect the projects requirements.
- Produce accurate prices from the tender information received including bills of quantities, drawings and specifications.
- To prepare, process and submit tenders for contracts, calculating the costs involved in line with risk requirements and client expectations.
- To produce Tender programmes to support submissions if required.
- To incorporate and provide for costs associated with health and safety requirements, inflation, project timescales and allowances to cover contingencies and project risk.
