Great opportunity to work for the UK Sales & After-Sales Office of a global organisation Headquartered in Europe. The group is undergoing a rapid evolution which is driven by organic growth and acquisition.

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager who is qualified, part-qualified CIMA/ACA/MAAT or QBE 10 years plus experience who has strong strategic and financial accounting skills, preferably with experience of reporting into a Group Finance function. It will suit a person who thrives in a dynamic environment, who is growth orientated, embraces a "change and growth culture", and is able to drive engagement and collaboration of the finance and wider teams.

Finance Manager - key responsibilities.

  • Full accountability for all local and group financial accounting and reporting
  • Managing banking relationships and all relationships with all finance 3rd party suppliers e.g. payroll, accountants.
  • Hands on delivery of financial reconciliations, management account production, VAT returns, year-end accounts, etc.
  • Line management of an accounts administrator and oversight of credit control, accounts receivable, accounts payable and expense processing.
  • Work closely with the UK MD in the development of annual budgets, and accountable for forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
  • Financial analysis and reporting; ideally experience of project accounting, interim invoicing and project cost v profit analysis.
  • Oversight of company commercial agreements and liaison with solicitors/accountants regarding UK company agreements and statutory responsibilities.
  • General oversight of office operations including HR compliance and processes and facilities management.

Finance Manager skills and attributes

  • Strong interpersonal skills that drive collaboration.
  • High level of analytical skills with strong problem solving and solutions orientated approach to driving growth, profitability and performance.
  • Proven experience of full accountability for P&L management, accounting, financial, fiscal and cash flow management.
  • Effectively manage bank accounts (Reserve/Sterling/Euro).
  • Strong business acumen with ability to assimilate market and economic data and interpret this to support commercial decisions.
  • Experience of working with ERP systems ideally SAP or Salesforce.
  • Experience of rolling out new technology and integrations, highly desirable.
  • Skilled in effective time management with the ability to report to Group and meet tight deadlines.
  • Line management experience desirable.
  • Experience of managing company benefits and preparing monthly payroll elements for 3rd party payroll provider.
  • Enthusiasm to oversee and manage office facilities e.g. building maintenance, landlord liaison, etc. and HR administration (maintaining and updating HRIS) and point of contact for Group HR.
  • Comfortable working in a small team environment in the UK office with the ability to operate at a corporate level in interfacing with Group Finance of a global company.
  • Able to work in the office until successful completion of probation period.
  • Able to travel occasionally nationally and to European HQ.
  • Qualified, part-qualified MAAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or QBE 10 years plus experience.
