BramahHR are seeking an organised and detail-orientedAccounts Assistantto join our finance team. This role involves managing key financial processes to ensure the smooth operation of the businesss accounting function. You will be responsible for completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, handling payroll journals, managing VAT returns, and ensuring all inter-company transactions are correctly processed and reconciled.
The position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home two days a week and enjoy flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performmonthly balance sheet reconciliationsfor all companies within the group.
- Post monthly journalsfor payroll, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
- Prepare and submitVAT returnsin compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Manageinter-company transactionsand ensure timely reconciliations.
- Oversee theaccounts receivableprocess, ensuring timely invoicing and collection across all companies.
- Provide cover foraccounts payableprocesses as required.
- Monitor and report oncash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
- Reconcilecredit card transactionsacross all companies to ensure accuracy.
- Support the Accountant with variousad hoc financial tasksas needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience withbalance sheet reconciliations,VAT returns, andaccounts receivable/payable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
