Wood Machinist required for a global supplier to Retail and Oil & Gas industries with over 105 years' experience. This employer is renowned for quality and innovative deliverables with a global presence including coverage in 4 continents and 15 countries.
This employer is based in LEEDS, meaning that the successful Wood Machinist will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns and cities including Bradford, Dewsbury, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Bingley and Keighley.
Key Responsibilities of the Wood Machinist:
- Ensuring that all the machinery is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
- Ensuring that all healthy and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensuring that job cords are being followed precisely.
- Programming and operating CNC machines.
Minimum experience/ skills required:
- Previous experience operating CNC machine (Flat Bed, Pod & Rail, Vertical)
- Ability to programme and operate CNC machines.
- Hands on experience with various types of wood machinery.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Good attention to detail.
Working hours of the Wood Machinist:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00-15:30.
- Friday: 07:00-15:00.
In return, the Wood Machinist will receive:
- Salary: 27,700-28,700 (Dependant on experience)
- 39.5 hours per week.
- Early finish on a Friday.
- Overtime paid a premium.
- Performance related incentives.
- 28 days annual leave.
