This role is essential to manage an increased workload during a significant phase of expansion. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of financial expertise, particularly within the construction sector, to navigate this pivotal period effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee financial operations, ensuring robust reporting and fiscal management.
- Handle cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting with meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain compliance with financial legislation and internal policies.
- Provide strategic financial analysis to aid executive decision-making.
- Lead the finance team, setting goals and monitoring performance to align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with external auditors, stakeholders, and cross-departmental teams to foster integrated financial strategies.
- Demonstrable experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within the construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
- Proficient with financial systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in team management.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly regarded.
- Competitive day rate of £200.
