Management Accountant - Fixed Assets

Faversham, Kent (Hybrid working 3-4 days in office)

£40-45k pa

On behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business in the Faversham area, we are seeking a talented Management Accountant with a strong focus on fixed assets to join their finance team.

Our client, a leader in their industry with a rich heritage spanning several centuries, is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented professional to take on this crucial role within their finance department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including processing asset requests, disposals, and depreciation
  • Produce monthly financial reports and analysis for senior management
  • Prepare and manage capital expenditure budgets and forecasts
  • Reconcile fixed asset register to the general ledger
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations
  • Support ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by the Financial Controller

The ideal candidate:

  • Accountant with Fixed asset accounting experience
  • Expertise in fixed asset accounting and related processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities and team player mentality
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
