We are seeking an Evening School Caretaker to join a vibrant educational environment in the Faversham area. This temporary role involves full school duties, including general maintenance and ad hoc caretaker tasks. An immediate start is available, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals ready to step into a dynamic role.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of school premises to ensure a safe environment for staff and students.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events or activities.
- Ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained, including outdoor spaces.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Previous experience as a caretaker or in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to handle a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a current DBS or be willing to obtain one immediately.
