Finance Manager Role Overview:As a Finance Manager t, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and corporation tax computations and returns. You will lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly financial numbers, providing valuable guidance to the Directors. Your expertise in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Xero will be essential in creating cash flow and profit projections while working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Lead financial analysis and provide guidance to Directors.
- Create cash flow and profit projections, supporting SMT in strategic planning.
- Monitor and action credit control effectively.
- Record financial transactions and complete data entry postings.
- Perform bank, credit card, and nominal reconciliations.
- Calculate and submit VAT and other HMRC returns.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and pension regulations, including payroll liabilities.
- Maintain the sales and purchase ledger, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
- Check and process payroll data, making BACS payments.
- Record daily financial transactions and oversee the Purchase Ledger.
- Issue monthly statements to customers promptly.
- Raise invoices and provide excellent service in all dealings with customers, contractors, suppliers, and staff.
- Maintain and nurture business relationships with clients and suppliers.
Job Requirements:
- AAT qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous accounts and finance experience.
- Competent all-rounder capable of running a complete accounts department.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of bookkeeping software, particularly Xero and Quickbooks.
- Strong understanding of VAT and payroll processes.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
- Confident, positive, motivated, and enthusiastic approach with a polite telephone manner.
