At The Korean Cowgirl we have taken the best of both sides of the globe to bring you restaurants that deliver a unique blend of subtlety-spiced oriental cuisine and the big, brash smoked BBQs of the Texas Panhandle.

With a Korean Cowgirl restaurant based at Cave Hotel & Golf Resort, one at Riverside in Canterbury and a brand new one opening soon in Ashford, we are seeking an Area Manager to join our team. This role is essential for overseeing the operations of our restaurants to ensure consistent high standards of service, food quality, and profitability while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

You will lead and develop management teams, identify opportunities to develop performance, develop strategies to drive growth, monitor and analyse financial reports, and actively address guest concerns to foster a positive customer experience.

What will your role look like?

  • Regularly visit assigned restaurants to assess operational performance, including food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and staff adherence to company guidelines.
  • Analyse sales and cost data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and address any issues related to food safety, health and safety regulations, and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor customer feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Implement strategies to manage labour costs, food inventory, and other operational expenses within budget parameters.
  • Recruit, hire, and train high-performing restaurant management teams, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to lead their respective locations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for restaurant staff across all areas, including new employee onboarding and ongoing skills development.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Participate in the development of new restaurant concepts, menus, and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to implement strategic plans and initiatives across the area.
