Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company based in Felixstowe are looking for a Freight Sales Executive to join their team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Focus and drive to achieve targets
  • Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses to understand intricately how the business can support with freight / customs
  • Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively scope new business opportunities
  • Track and manage the CRM system, ensuring ongoing liaison with existing clients and follow up of prospective customers
  • Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
  • Display excellent communication skills that include the ability to influence and negotiate where required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in freight sales, logistics, or a related industry is preferred
  • Strong understanding of the freight and logistics sector, including shipping methods, pricing, and regulations
  • Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
