Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company based in Felixstowe are looking for a Freight Sales Executive to join their team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Focus and drive to achieve targets
- Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses to understand intricately how the business can support with freight / customs
- Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively scope new business opportunities
- Track and manage the CRM system, ensuring ongoing liaison with existing clients and follow up of prospective customers
- Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
- Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
- Display excellent communication skills that include the ability to influence and negotiate where required
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in freight sales, logistics, or a related industry is preferred
- Strong understanding of the freight and logistics sector, including shipping methods, pricing, and regulations
- Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
