Customer Services - Forwarding Assistant

Join our team as a Freight Forwarder. You will be responsible for planning and executing all operational activities for freight forwarding clients. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective supplier management and continuous operational improvements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Contract Management: Manage day-to-day operations with suppliers to meet contracted standards.
- Customer Management: Execute orders within agreed lead times and handle customer complaints effectively to prevent recurrence.
- Strategy Implementation: Identify and promote commercial opportunities to enhance customer experience.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement operational improvements that deliver service enhancements and/or cost benefits.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure delivery targets and customer satisfaction levels are met or exceeded.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working in logistics, preferably within a 3rd Party Logistics Organisation.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of freight forwarding, including ocean, air, and road freight. Familiarity with HMRC processes including CDS.
- Skills: Ability to effect change within 3PL organisations, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to build effective relationships that deliver business benefits.
- Personal Qualities: High attention to detail, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and a proactive, can-do attitude.
