Duties
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of freight operations, including import and export activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Handle operational issues or disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on service delivery.
Experience required
  • Proven experience in freight operations management, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
