Operations Manager

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for all areas of the Multi client, Multi Temperature Warehouse and its internal operations. Providing support to the Assistant General Manager and assisting in change management.

Working closely with H&S department to ensure best practice is followed and proactively managing safely

The individual will need to be able to manage the site whilst the Assistant General Manager is at other locations and winning more business. Strong proven Leadership skills are a must.

To ensure that Warehouse operations, processes and procedures are efficient and cost-effective in order to provide the best service for our customers and to maximize revenues.

Build & Manage relationship with key client(s) through understanding their requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing, maintaining and implementing effective processes & procedures to improve inventory records accuracy

• Onboarding of new clients, ensuring the setup is appropriate to the client and is clearly documented and communicated to the team

• Designing, maintaining and implementing performance management benchmarking tools

• Ensuring comprehensive, accurate and useful data collection for all aspects of warehouse activity

• Producing weekly, accurate activity and productivity reports

• Completing analysis of data, to recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

• Ensuring that health, safety & quality legislation is complied with

• Ensuring quality assurance measures are in place and adhered to

• Managing and developing the stock control and warehouse supervisors

• Previous experience of bond process/ ETSF is preferrable

• Ensuring new contracts KPIs are met and are in line with the budget

• Carrying out investigations and disciplinaries in line with companies guidelines

• Responsible for a dedicated area of the warehouse
