Container Transport Planner - Felixstowe

Our client who is a leading UK-based transport company are looking for a skilled Container Transport Planner to manage and optimize container movements across the UK, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective transport operations.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard office hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate container movements.
• Optimize container routes and schedules for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with drivers, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage transport documentation, including VGM, delivery instructions, and haulier coordination.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on service quality and cost control.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in UK container planning
• Right to work in the UK
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Solid understanding of UK transport regulations, container management, and haulage operations.
