Design Manager - Main Contractor - Hounslow

Key Responsibilities:

As a Design Manager, you will be part of the a new team, supporting the delivery of a flagship planned works/refurbishment project.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Reviewing contract drawings for buildability, ensuring they meet specifications, budget, and scope, while considering the latest building legislation, BSA 2022, CDM, and requirements for thermal performance, fire safety, acoustics, and security.
• Managing the design process through RIBA stages, collaborating with stakeholders to develop optimal design solutions from the PCSA stage to project completion.
• Overseeing the management and delivery of design information according to the agreed design program and schedule.
• Ensuring our appointed design consultants fulfil their duties in line with their contracts, and reviewing their submissions for compliance with standards and briefs.
• Providing design input during both preconstruction and construction stages of projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

This Design Manager role is ideal if you have:

• Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
• A relevant construction qualification (Degree / HND or equivalent) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data and LoDM.
• A full UK Driving License.
