Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant for a supportive and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Hounslow. This Feltham-based school is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with experience and confidence in the KS2 curriculum.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individual or small-group support to reinforce learning concepts
- Offer additional assistance for students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Support classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment
- Assist with behavior management strategies
- Provide emotional and social support to students as needed
- Help students develop literacy, numeracy, and essential learning skills
- Assist with personal care needs when required
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons
- Set up and organize classroom materials, equipment, and displays
- Supervise students during playtime, lunch, and school trips
- Ensure students' health and safety, promptly reporting any concerns
- Help with marking and recording students' progress
- Undertake administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing displays
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK-based schools
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
- A positive, motivated attitude towards learning
- Full-time availability for a long-term role starting in November
