Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children reach their full potential? Do you have strong literacy and numeracy skills and experience supporting upper Key Stage 2 learners? A welcoming primary school in the Bedfont area of Hounslow is seeking a confident and capable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join them for the full summer term, starting as soon as possible.
This is a full-time position, working closely with the class teacher to provide both in-class support and run targeted literacy and numeracy interventions for pupils preparing for the end of Key Stage 2.

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Focus: In-class support & small group interventions (literacy & numeracy)

Supporting Year 6 pupils during whole-class teaching, particularly in English and Maths

Leading targeted intervention groups to reinforce key concepts and build pupil confidence

Helping pupils develop their SATs readiness through focused academic support

Assisting with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and learning resources

Liaising regularly with the class teacher and SEND team to adapt support as needed

Creating a nurturing, positive and motivating learning environment

Prior experience working in KS2 (ideally Year 6)

Excellent written and spoken English and solid numeracy skills

The ability to deliver and adapt intervention sessions independently

A calm, proactive and flexible approach

Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
