Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Planner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising our logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation of goods while managing supply chain processes. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transport plans that align with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Manage logistics operations, including route planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Analyse transport data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare reports as needed.
- Utilise IT systems and software to enhance operational efficiency and communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff within the transport planning team.
Experience
- Proven experience in transport planning or logistics management is essential.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and other office applications.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and logistics principles is highly desirable.
