Occupational Therapist - Feltham

Are you a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity? Our well-established SEN School in Feltham is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. This is an independent, co-educational ABA day provision catering to pupils aged 4 to 16 with autism spectrum disorders and related conditions. We are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

You will play a vital role in supporting the development of children with special needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and daily living. You will work closely with a collaborative team of professionals, including speech and language therapists, behaviour support specialists, and teachers, to deliver tailored interventions that enhance each child's well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and provide expert advice on a range of occupational disorders
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to the specific needs of each pupil
  • Provide specialist advice and training to education staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care and intervention.
  • Deliver both group and one-on-one therapy sessions across different learning environments, using evidence-based techniques to support progress.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, making necessary adjustments to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including reports and therapy programmes, to support communication and continuity of care.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reside in or be willing to commute to Feltham
