Account Manager Job in Ferndown (Hybrid)

Dovetail Recruitment is excited to recruit for a new Account Manager, replacing the retiring Account Manager at our thriving client in the product distribution and wholesale industry.

The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of established accounts, aiming to maximise their potential. The role involves some monthly travel for face-to-face client meetings, with access to a shared company vehicle. A comprehensive handover will be provided by the retiring Account Manager, who leaves in March 2025.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £30,000 per annum + £4,000 bonus

o Company bonus is 50% based on your own target and 50% on company performance, new product performance, and softer personal targets such as personal development

Responsibilities of the Account Manager:

  • Supporting key national accounts, building relationships and ensuring client’s are given the best service
  • Advising clients on existing and new products within the business
  • On-going market research to explore new opportunities
  • Analysing and reviewing reports
  • Investigating and resolving issues and queries if they arise
  • Working with cross functional teams including Customer Services, Marketing, Supply chain and Logistics
  • Attending trade shows etc. to build up a network of contacts and business opportunities in addition to understanding your competitors
  • Meeting with clients both virtually and in-person, presenting on new products

What is our client looking for?

Someone who enjoys building relationships and has a few years of account management experience. Experience with products is a plus, but candidates from service backgrounds are welcome to apply. This role offers some great learning and development opportunities as the company continues to expand.

Minimum Requirements for the Account Manager:

  • Previous sales experience
  • Full Clean Driving License (Essential)
  • Enjoyment of building on and forming great client relationships
  • Highly organised
  • A team player who would like to bring new ideas to the table
