Interim Year End Accountant

About the role:I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Interim Year-End Accountant to join my client for a period of 8-12 weeks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial & statutory accounting and reporting, with specific expertise in SAP S4 HANA. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements during the year-end close process.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the year-end financial close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process.- Utilise SAP S4 HANA to generate accurate financial reports and analyses.- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team.- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Requirements:- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a large organisation.- Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and its financial modules.- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
