Internal Sales Technician Job Overview

My client based in the Fleet area are currently looking for an Internal Sales Technician who will provide internal sales support of product lines, parts and accessories. They are a small sized business so are looking for someone who has experience in either a technical role, support role or sales position, who has flexibility and initiative.

Responsibilities include:

• Respond to requests for quotations for pumps, standard Engineered Packages, accessories and replacement parts.
• Ensure sales orders are processed, dispatched and invoiced accurately.
• Liaison and agreeing terms with couriers as and when required.
• Responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects of sales order entry.
• General customer liaison via telephone/email as necessary (invoicing & delivery enquiries etc.).
• Investigate any problems and take appropriate action, including arranging the return of faulty items using current
• ISO9001 procedures.
• Handle service enquiries and progress jobs to invoice status in conjunction with operations.
• Maintains quotation log and follows up on leads and quotes to maximize conversion into orders.
• Provides customer service in accordance with company policies, procedures, and ISO9001 requirements.
• Interfaces with Engineering and Marketing groups as necessary to obtain solutions for customer's needs.
• Maintain product knowledge by attending various in-house product review and/or new product training sessions.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed

• Experience in a technical role either support or sales would be highly desirable for this role.
• Technical qualification in a mechanical technology field or an equivalent combination of education and
• Basic Knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, practices and theories.
• One year of specifically related experience
• Working knowledge of SAP B1, Microsoft Windows, Excel and Office Suite.

• 35,000 basic salary

• Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm.
