MRS are seeking the perfect candidate to become a very key part in our fast-growing team, in a role as an SEO Specialist.

Key Responsibilities for the SEO Specialist

  • To be responsible for managing a number of new and existing clients SEO retainers, putting performance goals at the forefront.
  • Put together impactful, bespoke SEO strategies for a range of clients across a breadth of industries
  • Efficiently manage internal resources to deliver the SEO strategies put together to time.
  • Manage SEO-specific client relationships through face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and presentations
  • Perform more critical SEO-specific optimisation tasks where required.
  • Support our Outreach Executive with offsite SEO strategies, creative ideation and pitching
  • Report on clients SEO performance monthly, provide key actions and next steps for progression. Also monitor and determine how to react upon algorithmic changes in the search engines
  • Report to and support the SEO Lead, updating them on the performance of their clients SEO and assisting with sign-off of SEO-centric tasks such as content and digital PR plans.
  • Provide internal SEO training internally where required for other team members
  • Keep up to date with the latest search news and share with the team and clients where relevant.

Requirements for the SEO Specialist

  • Hold a strong understanding of all aspects of SEO (onsite, offsite and technical) and how to apply it strategically to achieve results.
  • Be able to audit and analyse client websites to provide well-defined and detailed SEO actions.
  • Understand how to put together impactful SEO and keyword strategies and how to perform optimal keyword research
  • Understand the importance of offsite SEO and be able to assist with ideation for pitches journalists will love.

Experience & Skill for the SEO Specialist

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in SEO, ideally agency-side
  • Content writing, proofing and editing
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
  • A demonstrable understanding of the latest Search Engine Optimisation tactics
  • Confident with using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio and SEO tools such as ahrefs/Semrush.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects at once
