Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic PE Teacher to join a school in Wyre & Fylde on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being an advantage.
  • Maintain strong classroom management skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes physical education.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate physical education activities.
  • Participate in school events and activities related to sports and physical education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model displaying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
