Sonic Summary

Milk Education is seeking a proactive and dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in Secondary Schools in and around North Wales on either a long-term or short-term basis.
The role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, assisting with student learning, and ensuring students remain engaged with their work.
Candidates must have a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C or above and experience working with children or young adults is preferred.
An enhanced DBS is required, or candidates must be willing to purchase one, along with a good understanding of classroom behavior management strategies.

Cover supervisor Role & Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during teacher absence, following pre-set lesson plans or providing appropriate activities
Provide assistance with student learning when appropriate, helping them with tasks and ensuring they understand instructions
Ensure students are on task and engaged with the work set
Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure continuity of support for students

Cover supervisor Non-negotiables:

A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent)
Experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a school setting (though not essential)
Must have enhanced DBS or willing to purchase one
A good understanding of classroom behaviour management strategies
