Position: Warehouse Operations Team Leader

Location: Flintshire

Hours: Days Monday - Friday

Salary: Negotiable

I am currently recruiting a hands-on Operations Team Leader to join a growing department, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience, be able to run a tight ship and flag up any discrepancies with orders or quality, manage stock and liaise with procurement. Willing to help out on the FLT or assist with deliveries as and when required. Some flexibility on hours during busy periods would be required.

Duties:

Implement robust processes to ensure customer orders are fulfilled On Time in Full (OTIF).

Act as the final quality check before dispatch, collaborating closely with other departments.

Optimise warehouse layouts, enforce stock rotation and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives and adopt lean methodologies like 5's.

Ensure all team members adhere to Health & Safety (H&S) policies.

Maintain production records and ensured product traceability.

Lead a team of drivers and manage agency drivers when required.

Oversee fleet operations, including scheduling, servicing, repairs, and the purchase/disposal of vehicles.

Appoint and manage 3rd party couriers and manage service levels with an SLA.

Skills and Experience

A self-starter with flexibility, drive, and a hunger to learn.

A 'Hands-on' Leader who enjoys working with and building teams.

Someone who thrives under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.

A great communicator and team player.

Knowledge of warehouse management and pick, pack, and dispatch operations.

FLT licence in date

Supplier performance monitoring & liaise with procurement teams.

Full clean driving licence
