Flintshire County Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our Pathways and Permanence team, focusing on Children Looked After. Responsibilities:As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a vital role in our team, bringing your expertise to support and guide others. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising newly qualified social workers, student social workers, and social work assistants, helping them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Handling more complex cases, performing thorough assessments, and managing risks effectively.
  • Providing casework supervision to other team members, ensuring high standards of practice and care.
  • Working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Contributing to the overall development of the team, sharing your knowledge and experience.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work and CPEL (or equivalent qualification).
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in social work.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
